Fire causes heavy damage to garage in Brainerd

A garage filled with several all-terrain vehicles, a motorcycle and an older model Corvette was heavily damaged by fire Sunday, the Brainerd Fire Department reported.

Firefighters were called at 1:46 a.m. to a report of a detached garage fire on the 600 block of Grove Street in Brainerd. When law enforcement arrived on scene they reported the garage was fully engulfed in flames.

Fire crews arrived on scene and extinguished the fire. The damage to the garage was extensive and damage costs are unknown at this time, the fire department stated. The cause of fire is under investigation.

No injuries were reported.

The fire department was assisted by the Brainerd Police Department and North Memorial Ambulance.
