Fire crews fight attic fire near Gull Lake

Firefighters and emergency personnel responded to an attic fire after 9 p.m. Friday at a two-story home at 21421 Maple Lane near Nisswa on Gull Lake.

Firefighters and emergency personnel responded to an attic fire after 9 p.m. Friday at a two-story home at 21421 Maple Lane near Nisswa on Gull Lake.

Fire crews from Brainerd, Nisswa and Pequot Lakes were called to fight the blaze, according to assistant fire chief Joe Hall of the Nisswa Fire Department.

Hall said the fire was contained to one room and the attic. The cause of the fire was not clear. Crews were able to stop the fire, saving the structure within two hours of responding. Part of the roof was removed to extinguish the fire.

Hall said about 30 crew members were on scene to help.
