BAXTER — A Baxter home was lost to fire Friday, Sept. 24.
The Brainerd Fire Department was called to a structure fire at 5 a.m. at a residence on the 13000 block of Flintwood Drive. Law enforcement arrived on scene first and found the house to be fully engulfed in fire. One woman was in the house at the time of the fire and had escaped without injuries.
Firefighters arrived on scene and found fire coming out of all the openings in the front of the house. Twenty firefighters were on scene, extinguished the fire and performed overhaul to make sure there were no hot spots left over in the home.
The cause of the fire is undetermined and is under investigation with the assistance from the Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office.
The woman is receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.

Firefighters were at the house fire until 8 a.m. and fire personnel stayed on scene most of the day.
The Baxter and Brainerd police departments and North Memorial Health Ambulance assisted at the scene.
