MISSION — Mission Fire and Rescue responded to a fish house on fire at 5:48 p.m. Sunday, March 1, on Upper Mission Lake.

The fire department reported the fish house, about 400 feet from shore on the southeast side of the lake, was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived on scene. About 10 firefighters responded and used a grass rig machine to get to the fish house, as it is lighter on the ice. Firefighters used the grass rig and fire extinguishers to put out the fire.

There were no injuries.

The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office assisted on scene.
