Fire destroys mobile home in Wadena County

There was a propane tank on the north side of the house and several oxygen tanks inside the residence.

WADENA — Fire destroyed a mobile home Tuesday, Feb. 23, in Wadena County.

The Wadena County Sheriff’s Office was called at 8:54 a.m. to a structure fire in section 32 of Meadow Township.

The caller stated everyone was out of the house and no one was injured in the fire.

Upon arrival, emergency personnel found the mobile home was engulfed in flames. There was a propane tank on the north side of the house that emergency personnel was able to turn off. Several oxygen tanks were also reported to be inside the residence.

Members of the Sebeka, Menahga and Wadena fire departments fought the fire and were able to extinguish the fire. The mobile home was a complete loss.

Tri-County Ambulance and the Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office also assisted at the scene.
