MERRIFIELD - A cabin-style home was fully engulfed Tuesday night when firefighters arrived on the 11000 block of Crystal Lake Road in Lake Edward Township in Merrifield.
The Nisswa Fire Department responded and called Mission Fire for mutual aid. The cabin was believed to be unoccupied at the time of the fire, according to the police scanner. Details on the fire were unavailable Tuesday night.

The fire was reported around 9 p.m. and the Nisswa Police Department, Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office and North Memorial Ambulance assisted Nisswa fire at the scene.
According to the Crow Wing County detailed parcel report, the seasonal residential property is owned by David and Christina Menter of Minneapolis. The estimated value of the cabin is $18,700. The cabin sits on 8.7 acres of land.
