A wildfire near the Northtown neighborhood near McKay Road was reported at 3:20 p.m. Thursday.
Brainerd Fire Department Chief Tim Holmes said there were no homes threatened and the fire was moving pretty slowly with the relatively low winds and cooler temperatures.
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources firefighters also responded to the scene. As of Thursday night it was unknown how many acres burned or what triggered the fire.
