The Brainerd Fire Department responded to three burning complaints Thursday, Nov. 5, in the city, which all turned out to be illegal burns.
People called in burning complaints at 2:51 p.m. on the 800 block of Northeast 11th Avenue; 3:15 p.m. on the 600 block of Northeast Eighth Avenue; and 3:45 p.m. on the 200 block of Juniper Street. Firefighters extinguished all the fires.
Firefighters responded to two calls Wednesday. A gas line cut was reported at 2:03 p.m.
on the 3900 block of Green Gables Road. Firefighters provided standby assistance for the utility company. Then at 3:43 p.m., a grass fire was reported in the area of Crow Wing County Highway 8 and Grave Lake Road. Firefighters responded but were canceled en route.
