Firefighters free 1 from vehicle after Baxter crash

BAXTER — Emergency personnel responded to a multi-vehicle crash with injuries at 7:46 a.m. Monday, June 15, at the intersection of Highway 371 and College Road in Baxter.

The Baxter Police Department responded to the crash, but had no details available Monday afternoon. The Brainerd Fire Department assisted at the scene and freed one person trapped in a vehicle. Firefighters also assisted with traffic control.

Over the weekend, firefighters had no reports for service Sunday, but responded to two fire alarms Saturday at the Excelsior Court Apartments in Baxter. Firefighters were called at 8:20 p.m. to the apartments and were canceled en route; and then at 10:09 p.m., when an investigation was done and firefighters found the fire alarm to be a maintenance matter.
