The Brainerd Fire Department experienced a busy Wednesday of responding to calls.

Beginning at 8:42 p.m. Wednesday, a water flow alarm at LINDAR, 7789 Hastings Drive, drew response. Firefighters investigated and determined the alarm was a maintenance concern.

About an hour later at 9:50 p.m., the department was called to respond to an all-terrain vehicle crash at the intersection of County Highway 22 and Paradise Beach Road. Crews were canceled en route.

Just 10 minutes later, dispatchers received a call of a vehicle fire on the 1600 block of Ninth Avenue Northeast in Brainerd. Upon arrival, firefighters determined it was rags smoldering inside a paint company van. The rags were extinguished.

Another vehicle fire was reported at 8:10 a.m. Friday in the Cub Foods parking lot, 417 Eighth Ave. NE. The small fire was extinguished by the department.
