The Brainerd Fire Department responded to several calls Wednesday, with the first call at 6:08 a.m. to Central Minnesota Senior Care, 1008 10th St. S., in Brainerd. It turned out there was a malfunction in the compression system that set off the fire alarm.
Firefighters were called at 11:19 a.m. to Stearns Assembly Manufacturing, 1100 Industrial Park SW, Brainerd. Firefighters investigated and found smoke from a gas grill located in the garage set off the alarm.
Then at 2:55 p.m., firefighters responded to a residence on B Street Northeast on an unauthorized burn.
Firefighters also were called at 9:40 p.m. to assist the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office with a suicidal person on Ojibwa Road. Firefighters were cleared from the scene nine minutes after the call.
