Firefighters respond to 3 crashes and a grass fire

Grass fire burns two acres south of Brainerd.

The Brainerd Fire Department responded to three vehicle crashes and a grass fire since Saturday, April 17.

The grass fire was reported at 4:23 p.m. Sunday. It burned 2 acres on the 8000 block of Cook Road. The DNR assisted at the scene.

A vehicle crash was reported at 10:28 a.m. Saturday on the 800 block of Holly Street in Brainerd. Fire crews assisted at the scene. The second crash was at 1:25 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Thiesse and Oakridge roads, just south of Brainerd. Firefighters were canceled en route.

The third crash was at 11:42 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Highway 210 and Elder Drive in Baxter. Firefighters assisted at the scene. No one was injured in the crash, police reported.
