The Brainerd Fire Department was called at 1:50 p.m. Monday to a report of smoke in a garage on 600 block of North Sixth Street, Brainerd. Upon arrival, firefighters found a man burning a large pile of leaves in his yard.
Brainerd fire officials remind city residents that they are not allowed to do any leaf burning, as it is against city ordinance.
