Firefighters respond to call at Baxter school

The Brainerd Fire Department responded to two fire alarms this week, including one at Baxter Elementary School.

Firefighters received the call at the Baxter school at 2:32 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, and upon investigation, it was determined to be a false alarm.

Firefighters also were called at 8:18 a.m. Thursday to a fire alarm on the 5700 block of Ojibwa Road. Upon investigation, it was determined to be caused by burned food.
