NIMROD — The Wadena County Sheriff’s Office was called at 3:06 p.m. Monday, March 30, to an unoccupied building on fire on the 26000 block of Wadena County Road 12, in Orton Township near Nimrod.
Upon arrival, sheriff’s deputies learned the fire started at a building described as an old home. The Sebeka Fire Department extinguished the fire, with assistance from the Menahga Fire Department. The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Wadena County Sheriff’s Office and the State Fire Marshal's Office.
Assisting on scene was Nimrod Forestry, the Sebeka Police Department and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.
