The Brainerd Fire Department responded to two fire alarms in Baxter and one in Brainerd Monday and Tuesday.
A fire alarm was reported at 4:31 p.m. Monday, March 15, at Excelsior Court, 7276 Excelsior Road, Baxter, but firefighters were canceled en route.
At 7:16 a.m. Tuesday, firefighters were called to a fire alarm at Holiday Inn Express, 15739 Audubon Way, Baxter, but were again canceled en route. A fire call came in at 8:04 a.m. Tuesday at the Elmwood House, 2517 Greenwood St., Brainerd. Upon investigation, it was determined the alarm was caused by burned food. Firefighters ventilated the building and then cleared.
