Firefighters respond to multiple calls, including elevator rescue

The Brainerd Fire Department was called Saturday, April 7, for an elevator rescue, one of a host of calls in Brainerd since the weekend.

The elevator issue was reported at 6:14 p.m. on the 300 block of Buffalo Hills Lane at Woodland Acres.

In other calls, firefighters responded to a fire alarm at 7:14 p.m. Friday at the BNSF Brainerd Equipment Shop. Upon investigation, it was determined to be a false alarm.

Sunday, firefighters were called to the Sawmill Inn restaurant at 2:46 p.m., 600 block of Washington Street, after a report of an electrical fire. Upon arrival, firefighters determined it to be electrical arcing.

Monday, at 8:09 a.m. a fire alarm was reported at Four Winds Treatment Center, on the 11600 block of State Avenue. Firefighters were canceled en route.
