Firefighters respond to personal injury crashes

A driver and a pedestrian in separate incidents were injured Sunday, the Brainerd Fire Department reported.

Firefighters were first called at 12:57 p.m. to a two-vehicle crash on Carlson Lake Road and Pine Beach Road. Firefighters were called to extricate the woman driver, who was transported by North Memorial Ambulance to Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd.

The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office and Baxter Police Department assisted at the scene.

Firefighters then were called at 6:27 p.m. to a pedestrian versus vehicle crash in the crosswalk on Laurel Street and South Fifth Street. The pedestrian was transported to the Brainerd hospital.

The Brainerd Police Department and North Memorial assisted on scene.
