The Brainerd Fire Department responded to three calls Friday, Jan. 4, and one call Saturday.
On Friday, firefighters responded to a vehicle fire at 12:06 p.m. on the 400 block of Charles Street. Then at 5:16 p.m., firefighters provided mutual aid to help the Crosby Fire Department with a duplex fire. At 10:41 p.m., firefighters responded to Nelson James Law Firm, 510 Maple St., for a gas leak. Upon investigation, it was determined to be from a broken meter caused by snow removal. Firefighters provided standby assistance as the gas company fixed the leak.
At 3:18 a.m. Saturday, firefighters were called to a carbon monoxide alarm on the 6800 block of Clearwater Road in Baxter. Upon investigation, it was determined to be unfounded.
