Brainerd firefighters respond to several calls

The Brainerd Fire Department responded to several calls since Thursday, May 16.

Thursday:

• Called at 11:52 a.m. to Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge, 2424 Business Highway 371, for a fire alarm. Firefighters were canceled en route.

• Called at 5:51 p.m. to a residence on the 300 block of Southeast 27th Street for a report of a gas smell. Upon investigation, it was determined to be unfounded.

Friday:

• Called at 1:37 a.m. to Fawn Terrace Apartments, 7970 Greenwood Road, for a fire alarm. Firefighters were canceled en route.

• Called at 1:59 p.m. to Knife River, 7925 Industrial Park Road, for a fire alarm. Firefighters were canceled en route.

• Called at 4:02 p.m. to a burning complaint on the 100 block of Kari Lane. Firefighters extinguished an unattended recreational fire.

Saturday:

• Called at 2:16 a.m. to a garage fire on the 13000 block of Pine Hurst Road. Upon arrival, a vehicle and a chicken coop were on fire.

Sunday:

• Called at 1:24 p.m. to Brainerd Family YMCA, 602 Oak Street, for a fire alarm. Upon investigation, it was determined to be a maintenance matter.

Monday:

• Called at 9:57 a.m. to Productive Alternatives, 213 NW 4th St., for a fire alarm. Upon investigation, it was determined to be a maintenance matter.
