The Brainerd Fire Department responded to two fire alarms Thursday morning, Jan. 16, at Ascensus, 415 NE Eighth Ave., Brainerd.
Firefighters investigated both calls and determined it to be a maintenance matter.
Firefighters also responded to a fire alarm at 9:53 p.m. at the Pines Apartments, 1204 Campus Drive W., Brainerd, but were canceled en route.
Earlier in the week, firefighters were called at 11:58 a.m. Jan. 13 to Central Converting, 21297 County Road 59, for a fire alarm, but were canceled en route. On Jan. 15, firefighters responded to two calls. The first one was reported at 4:52 p.m. of smoke in the area of Tyrol Hills Drive and Northwest Second Street. Firefighters responded and determined the call to be unfounded. The second call was at 9:39 p.m. to the 1200 block of Chicago Avenue for a carbon monoxide alarm. Firefighters determined it to be a maintenance matter.
