The Brainerd Fire Department responded to a few calls over Martin Luther King Jr. Day weekend, Jan. 17-21.

Firefighters had two calls Friday, starting at 3:45 p.m. of a vehicle fire at the intersection of Cedardale Lane and Highland Scenic Road in Baxter. Upon arrival, the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters then were called at 6:39 p.m.for a fire alarm on the 20000 block of Paige Avenue, but were canceled en route.

There were no calls Saturday. At 2:49 p.m. Sunday, firefighters were called for a fire alarm at the Crow Wing County Highway Department, 14589 County Road 142. Upon investigation, the alarm was set off by smoke from a compressor.

Firefighters had no calls Monday and no calls through 1 p.m. Tuesday, when reports were sent out.
