The next meeting of the Mille Lacs Fisheries Advisory Committee will take place 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Aug. 23, at Izatys Resort, 40005 85th Ave in Onamia, a release from the Department of Natural Resources said.
Discussion will focus on lower portions of the food web and ecological systems change, as well as DNR's fall assessment, which takes place in September. DNR staff will also provide any updates on the 2016 open water creel survey reports and the ongoing hooking mortality study.
Like past meetings, members of the public are invited to attend and observe this working committee meeting. Approximately 15 minutes at the end of the meeting will be devoted to public questions and comments.
