The Spencer-Ross American Legion Post No. 134 of Walker will be conducting a flag ceremony at the Veterans Podium on the north lawn of the Cass County Courthouse, Walker, Saturday,
Sept. 11.
At 9 a.m., the Spencer-Ross American Legion Post No. 134 of Walker Honor Guard will post the colors.
At 9:01 a.m., the Legion Auxiliary Chaplain Nancy Wagner will give opening remarks and prayer.
At 9:05 a.m., the Cass County Sheriff Honor Guard will post and unfold the flag; the Spencer-Ross American Legion Post No. 134 of Walker Honor Guard will fire three rounds and play taps and then the Cass County Sheriff Honor Guard will refold the flag.

At 9:10 a.m., there will be 30 seconds of siren sound followed by 30 seconds of silence.
The flag will be lowered to half-staff at 9:11 a.m. by the Walker Area Joint Fire Department.
A ceremonial cannon salute will be at 9:12 a.m.
The flag will fly at half-staff for the remainder of the day.
