Former Lakeville principal found dead in Crow Wing County Jail

Held on a Department of Corrections warrant, he was found unresponsive and life-saving measures were attempted but unsuccessful.

A former Lakeville middle school principal, who was sentenced to prison in 2019 for a crime spree involving multiple victims, was found dead in the Crow Wing County Jail Saturday, Nov. 20.

According to a news release from the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office, Christopher Endicott, 53, was in jail on a Department of Corrections warrant when he was found unresponsive. Life-saving measures were attempted but unsuccessful.

Endicott was at the center of a series of mounting criminal charges when he was arrested in 2018 in Brainerd on an outstanding 2016 warrant from North Dakota for burglary and theft of property.

The sheriff’s office reported it requested the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension to investigate the cause of death.
