The Friends of the Brainerd Public Library have opened up applications for its 2021 scholarships.

The Ruth Gogolin Scholarship and the Friends of the Brainerd Library Scholarship awards are $1,500 each.

One application will create eligibility for both scholarships. Scholarships are open to Brainerd High School graduating seniors who plan to pursue a two- or four-year degree program at an accredited institution. Applicants must have a current Brainerd Public Library card and an essay is required. Financial need will be considered but may not be a determining factor.

Information and links are available on the Brainerd High School External Scholarship List on their intranet or by going to the Friends of the Library website at wineandwordsandfriends.com .

Applications are due April 9.
