Gas leak and fire alarms send out Brainerd fire

The Brainerd Fire Department responded to a call at 10:58 p.m. Saturday to a call at Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center, 523 N. Third Street, of a gas leak of a vehicle in the parking lot. Upon investigation, firefighters attempted to stop the leak and provided standby assistance until a tow truck arrived.

Firefighters also were called at 1:55 p.m. Friday to an address on the 2500 block of Greenwood Street for a fire alarm. Upon investigation, firefighters determined it was caused by maintenance on a dryer.
