UPDATE: Deerwood man dies in head-on crash with semitrailer

2016 Voter's Guide: Trommald City Council, Mayor

Trommald mayor

Jim Hiller

Age: 67.

City: Trommald.

Occupation: Retired.

Public office experience: Over 20 years as mayor.

Why are you the best candidate for the job? "I am a firm believer in citizen rights and against government control on everything we do. I make sure that every individual can voice their opinion at every council meeting. I try to keep our taxes as low as possible and conservative on spending yet responsible in providing the services the city requires. I try to represent the wishes of the people that put me in this office, even though I may not agree at times. In 20 years I don't think I have missed more than five meetings. I will be here for you."

Kathy Pierson
