Crow Wing County mail voters must meet deadline to be counted
Voters in Crow Wing County precincts that vote exclusively by mail must return their ballot to the elections office by 8 p.m. on Election Day, which is Tuesday, Nov. 6, to have their ballot counted. Voters who need to register, or who have lost or spoiled their ballot, may come in person to the elections office at the Historic Courthouse at 326 Laurel St. in Brainerd to complete an application and vote in person.
The county has 18 precincts that vote exclusively by mail, and all registered voters in these precincts will have received a ballot mailed to them: Cuyuna, Dean Lake, Deerwood City, Fort Ripley City, Gail Lake, Garrison City, Jenkins City, Jenkins Township, Little Pine, Manhattan Beach, Pelican, Perry Lake, Platte Lake, Rabbit Lake, Riverton, Ross Lake, Timothy and Trommald.
Mailing times typically take at least two business days to reach a local address, so voters are encouraged to return their ballots in person to ensure receipt by Election Day.
A registered voter may designate an agent to return a ballot on the voter's behalf as long as the agent has not returned more than three ballots in this election and is not a candidate.
