Governor-elect Tim Walz and Lieutenant Governor-elect Peggy Flanagan announced applications for positions on the Metropolitan Council, the Public Utilities Commission, and the Metropolitan Airports Commission are being accepted through Jan. 9, 2019.
"Our state commissions play an incredibly important role in leading our state forward. They help maintain the growth and strides we've made while also providing innovative solutions," Walz said in a statement.
"We are looking for leaders who are ready to serve and dedicated to improving the lives of Minnesotans. As we continue the hiring process to fill positions of leadership within our state government, we are encouraging Minnesotans, regardless of race, religion, gender, and party or political ideology, to apply," Flanagan said.
The Secretary of State's office published the vacancies in early November.
