LITTLE FALLS - A grant-writing workshop designed to help potential applicants understand, develop and submit federal grant applications for the farmers market and local food promotion program will be offered in Little Falls.

Ryan Pesch, extension educator; and Greg Schweser, associate director for Sustainable and Local Food, are hosting the workshop from 1-5 p.m. March 27 at the Government Center in Little Falls.

The workshops are being offered in every U.S. state this spring through a unique collaboration between federal, state, and regional partners. University of Minnesota Extension is partnering with the U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) and National Institute for Food and Agriculture (NIFA) to conduct workshops in Minnesota. This effort is known as the Agricultural Marketing Service Technical Assistance (AMSTA) Project.
