A screening of "Paper Tigers," a documentary about trauma-informed schools, is planned for Thursday at Brainerd High School.
Hosted by Crow Wing Energized, Circle of Parents and Minnesota Communities Caring for Children, the documentary will play at 3:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the Little Theater, 702 S. Fifth St., Brainerd.
"Paper Tigers" follows a year in the life of an alternative high school that has radically changed its approach to disciplining students, becoming a promising model for how to break the cycles of poverty, violence and disease that affect families.
After the showing, the staff will be facilitating a discussion to expand upon the content of the documentary and answer any questions the audience may have.
Those with questions on the screening may contact Lowell Johnson at 218-820-5290 or johnsonlowells@gmail.com .
