Come for an evening of learning on what, when and why someone would need a guardian.
The Crow Wing County adult protection team will be offering a guardianship community workshop from 6-8 p.m. July 12 in Meeting Room 1 of the Crow Wing County Land Services Building, 322 Laurel St., Brainerd.
What are the roles and responsibilities of guardians and conservators? Are there alternatives to guardianship? What are the legal responsibilities of guardianships/conservatorships?
Presenters will be Bill O'Hara, attorney at law; representatives of the Lutheran Social Services - guardianship programs; Natasha Merz, state ombudsman office and member of Working Interdisciplinary Networks of Guardianship Stakeholders and Laura Bendson from the Minnesota Judicial Branch.
