Two drivers were injured Wednesday, July 3, when the vehicles they were in crashed on Highway 371 at Gull Lake Dam Road, north of Baxter.

The Minnesota State Patrol responded to the crash, which was reported at 12:29 p.m. Jesica L. Hanson, 40, Manhattan, Kan., was driving a 2019 Nissan Frontier south on Highway 371, when the vehicle she was driving struck a Chevrolet Impala, driven by Diana J. Jabs, 59, Merrifield. Jabs was traveling north on Highway 371 and attempting to turn onto Gull Lake Dam Road.

Both drivers, who were wearing their seat belts, were transported to Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd for non-life-threatening injuries. Hanson had two passengers in her vehicle -- Sydni R. Kihoe, 13, and Lily G. Runnebaum, 9 -- who were not injured.

The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office assisted the state patrol at the scene.
