Motorists travelling in the Detroit Lakes area should expect heavy traffic volumes through Sunday.
Tens of thousands of visitors will attend the annual WE Fest Country Music Festival at Soo Pass Ranch near Detroit Lakes.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation and Minnesota State Patrol urge motorists to:
• Expect delays.
• Be patient.

• Avoid travelling during peak times.
A bridge replacement project on Highway 10 about 10 miles east of Moorhead will impact travel between the Fargo-Moorhead area and Detroit Lakes. Traffic is reduced to a single lane in each direction at the Buffalo River near Glyndon.
Congestion on Highway 10 near the construction zone is expected to be most significant on Sunday. Drivers may want to consider an alternate route back to Fargo-Moorhead, such as Highway 34 to Interstate 94.
Motorists should also anticipate delays on Sunday, Aug. 10, in the following locations:
• Southbound Highway 59 in Pelican Rapids.
• Eastbound Highway 10 from Bluffton to Wadena.
