Rep. Josh Heintzeman, R-Nisswa, announced Wednesday, Feb. 6, that he has been appointed to the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources, the Legislative Water Commission, and the Clean Water Council.
All three committees are focused on improving Minnesota's water quality and preserving Minnesota's rich natural resources.
"I have spent a great deal of my time at the Legislature on water- and environment-related issues-both of which are incredibly important to the Brainerd lakes area," stated Heintzeman in a news release. "I look forward to working on these important issues and am planning to work with partners from all four corners of the state to craft reasonable approaches that address the challenges facing water quality and our natural resources."
Heintzeman previously served on the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources during the 2017-2018 legislative session. This session will mark his first time serving on the Legislative Water Commission and the Clean Water Council.
