Heintzeman to hold environmental listening session in Merrifield

Rep. Josh Heintzeman, R-Nisswa, will hold an environmental listening session at 1 p.m. Feb. 5 at the Merrifield Marathons Snowmobile Club, 21135 County Road 3, in Merrifield.

Also attending will be Minnesota House Mining and Outdoor Recreation Policy Committee Chairman Tom Hackbarth, R-Cedar.

Heintzeman invited Chair Hackbarth to hear firsthand from constituents and local officials about environmental rules and regulations and how they impact the lakes area.

Heintzeman encourages area residents to attend the listening session and share their thoughts, opinions and questions about environmental rules and regulations in the State of Minnesota.

Rep. Dale Lueck, R-Aitkin, is hosting a similar listening session with Hackbarth at 6 p.m. Feb. 5 at the Aitkin Public Library Conference Center in Aitkin.
