The Minnesota State Patrol was involved in a high-speed pursuit in southeast Brainerd Thursday night that resulted in two arrests.

At approximately 9:20 p.m., a state trooper patrolling the area observed a vehicle weaving and circling the block. The trooper followed the vehicle as it continued to make right turns at each intersection. The vehicle, driven by 32-year-old Joshua Thomas Tyson Wolvert of Brainerd, then rolled through the stop sign at Oak Street and the trooper activated his emergency lights to initiate a stop.

Wolvert accelerated at a high speed traveling east on Oak Street, making several turns attempting to evade the trooper. Wolvert failed to stop or yield at any intersections.

Wolvert eventually pulled into Stoneybrook Trailer Park located at 1710 Southeast 13th Street and slowed down. A female passenger rolled down her window and put her hands out.

While he was being cuffed, Wolvert told the trooper he ran because he had warrants. After a check, it was learned that Wolvert had a revoked license and warrants. He was arrested for felony fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, a felony parole violation and misdemeanor driving after revocation.
