A high-speed chase Saturday in Onamia led to a crash and the driver fleeing on foot.

At 10:10 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Highway 169 and 460th Street in Onamia, police attempted to stop a vehicle which had Colorado plates that did not match the vehicle. The vehicle fled and officers pursued, reaching speeds of 90 mph.

The vehicle crashed and the driver fled on foot. A K-9 search was conducted along with the assistance of a Minnesota State Patrol helicopter. The suspect was not located.

The vehicle was confirmed stolen out of St. Cloud in June and was towed to a secure garage. Airbags were deployed and several items were scattered around the vehicle. The vehicle is being swabbed for DNA.
