Highway 210 crash injures Pillager woman

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Pillager Fire Department and North Memorial Health ambulance assisted the state patrol at the scene.

PILLAGER — An 82-year-old woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash at 5:51 p.m. Sunday, June 13, along Highway 210, east of Pillager.

The woman was driving a Ford Taurus and was stopped in the eastbound lane of Highway 210, waiting to make a left turn onto West Sylvan Drive. While waiting to turn, a Chevrolet Cavalier also traveling east on Highway 210 struck the Ford, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.

The driver of the Ford, Evelyn L. Vogel of Pillager, was transported to Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd for non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Cavalier, Jacob R. Merrill, 31, Brainerd, was not injured. The state patrol reported Merrill was not wearing a seat belt.
