ST. CLOUD - Motorists traveling Highway 24 in Clearwater will encounter delays near the bridge spanning the Mississippi River while the road is reduced to a single lane beginning at 9 a.m. Monday.
The closure is needed while crews complete the bridge's annual inspection.
Flaggers will allow one-way, alternating traffic through the work zone while crews complete their work. All lanes of Highway 24 in Clearwater will reopen by 3:30 p.m. the same day.
Motorists should seek alternate routes, and plan additional time for travel.
A project to replace the Highway 24 bridge spanning the Mississippi River in Clearwater is scheduled to begin in July. Go to www.mndot.gov/d3/hwy24/ for more information on that project.
