Highway 25 closes south of Brainerd Sept. 2

Motorists who travel Highway 25 south of Brainerd will encounter a detour and delays as the road closes .75 miles south of Gun Club Road Sept 2.

All lanes of Highway 25 near Gun Club Road are scheduled to open by the evening of Sept. 16.

A detour will direct motorists along County Road 117, County Road 45 and County Road 2.

The closure is needed while crews remove and replace two culverts.

The project will improve drainage in the area, reduce the risk of road closures due to flooding and ensure Highway 25 continues to support a reliable local transportation system.
