The Minnesota Department of Transportation on Friday announced road closures beginning May 19 for some lanes of Highway 28 due to construction.
Motorists may encounter delays on 28 between Highway 71 in Sauk Centre and Highway 27 west of Little Falls as segments of the road are reduced to a single lane beginning May 19, a MnDOT release said.
The closures will occur Mondays through Saturdays from sunrise to sunset through mid-June.
Flaggers and a pilot car will allow one-way, alternating traffic through the daily work zones. Motorists should slow down and prepare to stop as they approach each work zone, then obey the flaggers and use caution as they follow the pilot car through the daily work zone.
Motorists entering a work zone from driveways or roads that intersect Highway 28 must wait for the pilot car to pass, then follow it through the work zone.
