Three people, including a 5-year-old child, suffered injuries in a broadside crash on Highway 371 Saturday.

The two-car crash was reported at 9:53 a.m. Saturday on Highway 371 and Koering Road. Jeffrey Budnick, 39, Little Falls, was driving a Suzuki Grand Vitara passenger car south on Highway 371. Budnick's 5-year-old son, Carson, was his sole passenger.

Judy A. Waters, 65, Sartell, was driving a Toyota Corolla and traveling west on Koering Road. The Minnesota State Patrol reported the crash occurred when Walters' vehicle went through the stop sign at the intersection and was struck broadside.

The Budnicks and Waters were taken to Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd with non-life-threatening injuries. All were wearing seat belts and airbags deployed in both vehicles. Road conditions were dry at the time of the crash. Both vehicles sustained severe damage.

The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Office assisted at the scene.
