A 42-year-old man died Saturday in a rollover crash where he was ejected from the vehicle.
Michael D. Kelly of Pine River was driving south on Highway 371 in a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado early Saturday morning. The crash was reported at 2:28 a.m. north of Pine River in Cass County. The highway pavement was dry at the time of the crash.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported Kelly lost control of the truck, hit a sign and rolled multiple times down into the right ditch. Kelly was ejected during the crash. He was not wearing a seat belt. The state patrol reported alcohol was detected in Kelly's system. The Silverado was totaled in the crash.
The Cass County Sheriff's Office and Pine River Police Department assisted at the scene.
