Highway 371 south of Baxter will see delays starting July 5

BAXTER--Motorists who travel Highway 371 between Highway 210 in Baxter and County Highway 48, south of Fort Ripley, will encounter lane closures, heavy equipment, crews and potential delays beginning July 5.

BAXTER-Motorists who travel Highway 371 between Highway 210 in Baxter and County Highway 48, south of Fort Ripley, will encounter lane closures, heavy equipment, crews and potential delays beginning July 5.

The lane closures and work will occur from sunrise to sunset on different segments of the road while crews resurface the roadway, the Minnesota Department of Transportation said in a release. The work and closures will be complete by Aug. 6.

Motorists approaching the work zones on Highway 371 near Baxter should slow down and be prepared to stop if necessary, and must obey any flaggers or signs.

When complete, the project will improve ride quality and safety along 15 miles of Highway 371, MnDOT said.
