Businesses and residents in the Outing-Emily area are invited to attend an open house to learn about a 2019 Highway 6 construction project, the Minnesota Department of Transportation reported.
The open house will be held 7-8 p.m. Monday, July 30, at Crooked Lake Town Hall, 6300 Woods Bay Drive NE, in Outing. A presentation will begin at 7:10 p.m., and will be followed by a question and answer session.
Open house attendees will be able to learn about the project, work to be performed and tentative traffic plans.
The project is scheduled for the 2019 construction season and will resurface most of Highway 6 between Perry Lake, located south of Emily, and the Roosevelt Lake bridge in Outing. The project will also pave gravel shoulders south of Emily, add right turn lanes at Smokey Hollow Road and Fletcher Road, replace sidewalk connecting the Roosevelt Lake Bridge and the public dock in Outing, replace two culverts and close one of three accesses at Black Pine Street.
