The Friends of the Brainerd Public Library are once again bringing acclaimed authors to the Brainerd Public Library to speak about their latest work and the craft of writing.
Brown Bag Lunch Author series events are noon Mondays in June and July 2016, these events give local book lovers a chance to connect with up-and-coming and award-winning authors from around the Midwest.
This Monday, Jason Good will discuss his memoir "Rock, Meet Window: A Father-Son Story," described as a "funny and poignant read that delves into the magic, fails, and meaning of fatherhood." Humorist and family man Good is an only child with an atypical story to tell.
Participants are welcome to bring a packed lunch or just enjoy the light refreshments provided. These presentations are sponsored by the Friends of the Brainerd Public Library through their volunteer and fundraising efforts, and are free of charge to the public.
