Hwy 169 collision injures drivers

Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the state patrol reported.

ONAMIA — Both drivers were injured when their vehicles collided at 3:46 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, in Mille Lacs County.

A Honda Odyssey, driven by Kerri L. Casper, 59, Wahkon, was traveling west on Stevens Road, north of Onamia, when she failed to yield to northbound traffic on Highway 169, the Minnesota State Patrol reported. The state patrol reported the Honda collided into a Toyota Tundra, driven by Timothy J. Patterson, 59, Savage, who was traveling north on Highway 169.

Casper was transported via ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries to Mille Lacs Health System in Onamia. Patterson was transported precautionarily by helicopter with non-life-threatening injuries to North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the state patrol reported.
