Ideal Green Market Cooperative announces board members for 2019-20

The Ideal Green Market Cooperative recently announced its 2019-20 board members and officers at the monthly board meeting July 1.

The board has grown to its maximum of nine members this year: Joan Ingebrigtson, elected to serve as president of the board of directors; Taren Saccoman, elected to serve as vice president of the board; Bonnie Coffey, former president, elected as treasurer; and Pam Cunningham, elected as secretary.

Current board members Pam Cunningham, Dan Yavner, Sandi Baker and Denise Albrecht-Simpson will continue to serve on the board until the end of their terms in 2021.

New members of the board are Jon Grothe and Beth McConville. Grothe served four years on the city council of Tonka Bay and is an expert in blending experience and opinions that require an understanding of the “big picture,” a news release stated. McConville is new to the area and a new member of the Ideal Green Market Cooperative, but has already volunteered for past events. Both will bring their work and personal experiences to the board.

The weekly farmers’ market continues to operate 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturdays through September in the co-op parking lot, weather permitting. Local farmers, food vendors, and some crafters gather weekly making their goods available to consumers.
